Order Status

The order list shows the real-time status of orders placed within one trading day. Once an order is successfully placed, the order is then sent to the Order Management System (OMS) to be validated, after which the system will attempt to fill (or fulfill) the order through the exchange. During this process, it could pass through some of the following statuses depending on symbol availability and a range of other factors.

Please note that the order statuses can differ depending on the exchange.

    • New Waiting – The order has been accepted by the Order Management System (OMS) during market closed hours and will be sent to market/ exchange when the market opens/ during Pre-open.
    • Queued – Orders are stored in the Order Books as per the price/time priority waiting for a match.
    • Partially Filled – When the order is in the process of getting filled.
    • Filled – When the order is completely filled.
    • Replaced – When an order amendment is accepted by OMS and sent to market.
    • Expired – This denotes an order which has reached its expiry date/period.
    • Canceled – This indicates an order that was canceled as per user request purposefully (deliberately).
    • Rejected – This indicates an order that has been rejected (either by the OMS or the exchange)
    • Amended This denotes the order is changed by the user.
    • Pending Trigger – This indicates orders which are waiting to execute (be processed).
    • Triggered – This denotes orders which have been executed.
    • Once an order ticket is submitted by the user, it is sent to the relevant exchange where it attempts to find a match from the other side of the transaction to fulfill the order (I.e., in the case of a bid to buy stocks, there should be a sell offer on the other side).

  • In the event a corresponding match isn’t found, the order is then stored in the Order Book with a “Queued” status until a match is found or the order hits a timeout.

  • In the event an order is successfully matched, its status is then updated to “Filled” or “Partially” filled if part of the order has been filled.

  • Note: Once a Buy order is successfully submitted, the cost is deducted from the Portfolio’s cash balance, and the stocks purchased are added to the Account Summary screen.
    • Orders can also be amended after being submitted. However please note that this needs to be done quickly before the status of the order shifts to “Filled”.
